MILWAUKEE, DEC. 20— Knowing the disruption Northwestern Mutual clients in Iowa and Illinois are enduring as they may be displaced from their homes and businesses, the financial security company has temporarily extended the grace period for life, disability income and long-term care insurance policies that would otherwise lapse due to delayed payments.

The grace period applies to clients in counties in Illinois and Indiana that have been declared disaster areas.  Northwestern Mutual will also work with these clients to determine payment options to meet special needs.

Northwestern Mutual clients who may have a change of address, need to change electronic funds transfer directions or have other service needs are encouraged to contact their financial representative or call the Northwestern Mutual policyowner services hotline at 800-388-8123.
