Northwestern Mutual Leaders Recognized for Extraordinary Support of Employees Who Serve in the Wisconsin National Guard and Reserve

Milwaukee, WI (January 21, 2016) – Northwestern Mutual today announced that Jennifer Brase, vice president of diversity and inclusion, and Raymone Jackson, director of diversity and inclusion, are recipients of the Patriot Award, an honor presented to them from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of the Defense.

Brase and Jackson were recognized for their support of Northwestern Mutual employee, Ronald Adams, a leadership consultant on the company’s diversity and inclusion team and member of the 112th Military Public Affairs Detachment in the Wisconsin National Guard.

We’re extremely proud of Jennifer and Raymone’s contributions to supporting their fellow employees who have served and continue to serve their country,” said Jo Eisenhart, senior vice president of human resources at Northwestern Mutual. “They each play a key role in our company-wide commitment to diversity and inclusion.”

According to Mike Williams, chairman of the ESGR, the Patriot Award is presented to companies who employ Guard and Reserve members, but also to individuals who demonstrate extraordinary support to military employees and their families.

“Jennifer and Raymone, as well as other members of the Northwestern Mutual team, provided outstanding support for CPT Adams and exhibited a patriotic spirit that is reflected in the significance of being named a recipient of the Patriot Award,” said Williams.
